For US organizations you will need: either proof of non-profit status (like the IRS determination letter) or a functional website paired with a state-level document containing a registration number or state tax ID (EIN). If the church operates under a larger parent organization with group exemption, relevant documentation can also be submitted.

Only answer yes if the primary function of your ministry is one of the above. Google has separate grant programs for these kinds of organizations. If your church has a school of ministry or daycare that operates alongside the church, that's usually okay.
