GMZ Austin has a great new site!

Greater Mount Zion Church in Austin, TX got a new website and they couldn’t be happier with the outcome!

The Reach Right team was passionate about understanding our church and the type of site we wanted from the very start. After a couple of conversations with the team we saw the first pass of the website and they nailed it!

Homepage Background Video

Homepage videos can do so many things for your website and ministry. It gives a quick view of what your church looks like on a typical Sunday; it can be a tool that is a ‘silent’ welcome to a new visitor and is such a visual enhancement to the overall look of your website. You can be creative with how you put your video together – b-roll footage usually makes the best videos since that can cover more than a few areas to highlight on the video. GMZ was able to create a pretty unique collage-style video that shows teaching, worship, greeting and even a baptism!

Unique Navigation

GMZ wanted a site that is relevant and fresh. Keeping up with new trends in website design can be tricky. Things are always changing, and you also want your website to be mobile responsive/mobile friendly. This navigation menu was pretty unique and they were very pleased with the overall look and ease of use. It is different than most in that it is on the left-hand side versus being at the top under the logo bar. This really gave the homepage the full page view that we wanted to highlight their video and other cool elements they have to display.

Even with its unique design, the side navigation played very nicely on mobile and tablet views. On smaller screen sizes, the menu is thin at the top, so you wouldn’t really notice much of a difference there, but the desktop view is where you would see the main difference.

Service Outreach

GMZ goes above and beyond reaching out of their walls and into the surrounding communities. They have a variety of ministries that they pour into and that members can participate in. They highlight those on the website here: https://gmzaustin.org/causes/.  Notice the use of the great photography throughout the entire site. This makes each of their pages have the extra bang that we want to see on a website.
