After the popularity of our post The 7 Best Online Giving Companies For Churches, we’ve decided to review each company separately to help you better choose the right one for you. The next in our series is our Mogiv review.
Churches are constantly struggling with giving, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Often, the problem is people aren’t comfortable giving in church.
Use Mogiv to offer a modern, more convenient way for people to give how they want. This includes adding online tithing so even online followers can give easily.

Overview
Mogiv is a multi-platform giving provider that helps churches increase online tithing. Online, mobile, text and kiosk giving are all supported. The platform is designed to make giving easier, no matter where your donors are at any given time.
The tools are made to encourage donors. Even first-time donors won’t feel intimidated as they make their first online donation to your church. Of course, all it takes is a few clicks to set up recurring donations so donors don’t even have to think about it.
Everything’s so simple to set up that Mogiv states your church can start accepting online tithes in as little as 24 hours.
Main Features
Our Mogiv review found the platform offers most everything churches would expect in an online giving platform. Most importantly, people can give easily via debit card, credit card and ACH (bank).
Create branded forms that embed directly on your church’s website so users can give without ever leaving your site. This makes people more comfortable than being transferred to a third-party site.
Create as many different forms as you need for custom campaigns, event registrations and more. Using custom forms helps donors know exactly what they’re donating to. You can also add different options for people to give to to help them support the areas of the church that matter most to them.
Donors can choose one-time donations or recurring payments. Create custom thank you messages for every single gift. Plus, all payments are secure as Mogiv is PCI Level 1 compliant.
Both your church and donors receive real-time reporting to easily manage transactions. Easily see where funds are being allocated and which areas may need a boost. Then you can set up special campaigns specifically for those areas.
With text giving, users can give in as little as a minute using your custom number. Or, use an iPad to create a church kiosk for on-site giving. Mogiv’s site states kiosks can increase giving by 16% on average.
Pricing And Fees
In our Mogiv review, we were happy to see a fairly simple pricing structure. All fees are stated upfront, so there aren’t any unexpected surprises. There are three plans with differing transaction fees:
- $0/month – 2.9% + $0.70 per transaction for cards – 1% + $0.45 for ACH
- $29/month – 2.6% + $0.39 per transaction for cards – 0.75% + $0.39 for ACH
- $49/month – 2.09% + $0.39 per transaction for cards – 0.75% + $0.39 for ACH
On the $49/month plan, certain credit cards may incur a higher fee, such as American Express. The most expensive fee to expect is around 2.8%.
No matter what plan you decide on, you still get all the same features. It’s just a matter of balancing the monthly fee and the transaction fees. For instance, churches with a higher number of transactions per month may actually save money with the $49/month plan.
Every plan also has a $10 security/regulatory fee. With the $0/month plan, you also have to have a minimum of $10 in donations per month.
Mogiv’s plans do not include kiosks or texting. You can add kiosk giving for $19/month. Texting is just $5/month. If you need a church app, you can add MinistryOne for $39/month.
The best part, though, is you can try any of Mogiv’s plans for free for the first 30 days.
Online giving makes a great addition to any church. While Mogiv is a wonderful company, we also recommend you check out Tithe.ly.
