One of our great pleasures at REACHRIGHT is when a client had such a good experience with their website that they choose to work with us again on a redesign. That is exactly what happened with Wayside Chapel in San Antonio, Texas.

We did a site for Wayside back at the beginning of 2016. The site was a huge improvement from where they were and helped them see more first-time visitors right away.

As with all technology-related products, websites have a life span. What was fantastic in 2016 starts to show its age in 2019. Most churches would do well to do a website redesign every 3-4 years.

Wayside has always been on the cutting edge and wanted to make sure their website turning people away, so they reached out to us to do a redesign of the site we had originally built.

The great thing about a redesign vs a from-scratch build is that it allows you to keep all of the content. Writing new content takes time! Wayside was already ranking at the very top of google for several searches, and because the content is still the same, they have only seen improvement in their search engine rankings.

Wayside Chapel Site Features

One of our favorite changes to the site was the video background that we incorporated. Wayside has talented videographers on their team, and we were able to let them tell the story of the church using their gifts right on the homepage.

Wayside is also a multisite church, which always presents a unique challenge for web developers. On this project, we were able to accurately capture their “one church, two locations” approach. Also, the site was built to be ready for additional campuses in the future.

Working with Wayside has been an absolute pleasure for our team. We are always looking for like-minded churches who want to use the web to make sure their front door is wide open. In this case, the second time around is even better than the first.
