Southeast Christian Church

Southeast Christian Church is an independent Christian church in Louisville, Kentucky, part of the Restoration Movement. It was founded on July 1, 1962, when 53 members of South Louisville Christian Church started a new congregation in the Hikes Point area. Bob Russell led the church for 40 years before retiring in 2006. Kyle Idleman, on staff since 2002 and author of the bestseller Not a Fan, now serves as senior pastor. Southeast ranks among the largest churches in America by weekend attendance.
