New Life Covenant Church in Chicago traces back to 1965, when Ignacio Marrero founded it as Palestine Christian Temple. The church took its current name around 2000, the same year Wilfredo 'Choco' De Jesús became senior pastor and began growing a congregation of 120 into one of the largest Assemblies of God churches in the country, with thousands attending across multiple campuses and more than 110 ministries serving Humboldt Park and beyond.
