Yoido Full Gospel Church

Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul is the largest church congregation in the world. David Yonggi Cho and his mother-in-law Choi Ja-shil founded it in 1958 with a handful of people at a home worship service. By 1993 it held the Guinness record as the world's largest congregation, and membership has been reported around 870,000. The church sits on Yeouido Island and is affiliated with the Assemblies of God in Korea. Young Hoon Lee serves as senior pastor. Its cell group system became a template that churches around the world copied for decades, and its influence on global Pentecostalism is hard to overstate.

The digital footprint is almost entirely YouTube.
