Lamartine Posella, born May 3, 1961, in Campinas, São Paulo, founded what is now YAH Church together with his wife, Lylian Posella, whom he married in 1984.
The couple began the congregation in 1986 as a home cell group under the name Igreja Batista Palavra Viva. It grew into a full church, and in 2020 the Posellas renamed it YAH Church as part of a push to internationalize the ministry beyond Brazil.
