VOUS grew out of The Rendezvous, a young adult gathering Wilkerson led inside his father Rich Wilkerson Sr.'s Trinity Church from 2007 to 2015, expanding from twelve people to more than a thousand. VOUS held its first service on September 15, 2015, and has since added locations in South Miami, Little Haiti, the Design District, and Miami Gardens. Wilkerson has written three books: Sandcastle Kings (2015), Friend of Sinners (2018), and Single and Secure (2022). In 2014 he officiated the wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
