Daniel Kolawole Olukoya is the General Overseer and founder of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, a Pentecostal denomination headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. He started the ministry in 1989 with a single prayer meeting held in his living room in Yaba, Lagos.
Olukoya holds a PhD in molecular genetics from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom, earned on a Commonwealth scholarship, and worked as a research scientist at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research before moving into full-time ministry. Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries opened its international headquarters near the University of Lagos, holding its first service there on April 24, 1994. Olukoya has written dozens of prayer books, including Prayer Rain, Prayer Passport to Crush Oppression, and Pray Your Way to Breakthroughs.
