Rodriguez was ordained as an Assemblies of God minister in 1992 and earned a master's degree from Lehigh University. Through the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference he has advised three U.S. presidents, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump, and became the first Latino to take part in multiple presidential inauguration ceremonies. He has written 12 books, including Persevere with Power, Be Light, and Your Mess, God's Miracle, and served as executive producer on the films Breakthrough and Flamin' Hot.
