Matthew Ashimolowo is senior pastor and founder of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in London. He was born March 17, 1952, in Kaduna, Nigeria, and converted from Islam to Christianity at age 20 following his father's death.
He pastored a Foursquare Church in London starting February 11, 1984, for eight years before founding KICC in 1992 with 11 members. The church grew into one of Europe's largest Pentecostal congregations, and Ashimolowo founded KICC TV, the United Kingdom's first church-owned television channel. In January 2022 he appointed his son as resident pastor of KICC London.
