"Unified to Provide"

GD Association is a 501(c)(3) in Seattle's Central District that owns and operates three affordable-housing properties: 40 apartments serving low-income families, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities, in partnership with Seattle Housing Authority and HUD. They hold a 2026 Gold Seal of Transparency from Candid. Their website carries real operational weight: it screens housing applicants, rallies donors, and fills fundraiser seats.

What we built

A website that does real casework.

Most non-profit sites are brochures. This one works a caseload. It pre-screens housing applicants, walks them through the documents they need, points volunteers to real openings, and gives donors a reason to trust the number on the thermometer.

Housing Qualification Tool

An interactive self-screener that tells families whether they're likely to qualify before they spend hours on paperwork. Fewer dead-end applications for residents, fewer callbacks for staff.

Three Property Pages

Aridell Mitchell Home for families, Alma Gamble Apartments and Norman Mitchell Manor for seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities. Each page lists eligibility, documents, and a three-step application with online signing.

Donation Page with Live Progress

A fundraising tracker showing exactly how much has been raised toward the goal, backed by a Candid Gold Seal of Transparency badge. Donors see the mission is audited, not just heartfelt.

Events Hub

Fundraisers like GDA's annual Day at the Ballpark at T-Mobile Park get full event cards with dates, details, and one-tap social sharing so supporters do the promoting.

Media Feed & Newsletter

A “Making a Difference for Good” article feed tells resident and program stories, with an email signup so one visit turns into an ongoing relationship.

Volunteer & Partner Pathways

A How to Help page that routes people to what they can actually give: time, money, meals, or hygiene supplies, alongside named partners like Food Lifeline and Seattle Housing Authority.

Design highlights

Designed with dignity, not pity.

Plenty of housing non-profits lead with despair imagery. GDA's site leads with warmth: gold tones, joyful photography, and a headline that hands Seattle the responsibility instead of the guilt.

Gold duotone hero

“Unified to Provide” in an editorial serif over a warm mother-and-child photograph

Rallying-cry headline

“Seattle is stronger than mass homelessness & extreme poverty. But it takes all of us.”

Typewriter body text

Monospaced body copy gives the site a documentary, public-record feel

Donate always in reach

A Donate button in the nav plus a floating Donate action that follows the scroll

WordPress CMS

Staff post events, articles, and campaign updates on their own
